I’m totally excited for Ted. Seth Macfarlane knows how to tell an engaging, emotional, and hilarious story. I’m still, and always will be, a fan of Family Guy.
But anyway- to set up for the movie, they gave Ted Twitter and Tumblr accounts. They posted this (above) on the Tumblr, was a weird thing to do. They completely tear apart this comedian/actor (Todd on Community and a billion other bit parts) David Neher.
”Stay away from truly funny shit and just stay on your side of the generic, watered down world of soft-fro comedy. ”
I don’t know, I just think it would feel shitty to be a struggling actor and out of nowhere get shit on by a teddy bear from an upcoming major motion picture. Plus, the post itself wasn’t funny.
It would be cool if this was some sort of ARG thing where David ends up in the movie, but I doubt it.
Pajamaswag, I don’t know who you are, but I find this scenario infinitely hilarious. The ‘friend/supplier’ dynamic must be pretty weird. He’s like your boss. And yet- you’re James Franco and he’s Samm Levine?

The other day in the elevator, an entertainment ticker read: “Simpsons go Gaga for season finale!” It reminded me that the video above happened. It actually happened.
There are undeniably hilarious and bright people working at The Simpsons, I’m sure. So who pushed this through? Are they old and disconnected? Was it studio people pushing for an intro that would go viral? There are no jokes. Nothing interesting happens. It is the worst thing that’s ever happened.
The Lady Gaga on Sunday will be a close second, I’m sure.
